Written to help children learn about the concepts of self-worth and self-compassion. The ‘Ball Inside of Us’ is used as a concrete metaphor for children to visualise the inner-self and it is used throughout the book in different scenarios to teach the meaning of unconditional self-love. As we live in a society that often focuses on success measured by external factors, it is important to remind children that they are not defined by their achievements, mistakes, grades, appearance, physical or mental abilities, or by the opinions of others.
This book strives to help children understand that they are already worthy and complete just the way they are.

About the Author
Candice Kwok was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and is currently living in Hong Kong with her family. She studied Health Sciences and Physiotherapy for her undergraduate and postgraduate studies respectively.
Candice's own personal healing journey inspired her to share the transformative power of self-love and acceptance. Her work with both children and adults in pelvic health physiotherapy (learn more about her at @pelvichealthrehab) further informs her holistic mind-body approach to well-being.
With this book, she hopes to plant the seeds of self-compassion early in life, nurturing emotional resilience in readers. Her hope is to create space for connection and to spark meaningful conversations between parents and children to cultivate a genuine understanding of self-worth.
